I told you all I was going to order the low fuel indicator light kit from Dick Smith Electronics in Austrailia becasue I'm tired of running out of gas. It was $32, so many of you thought it was too pricey. Well, it turns out with the exchange rate (the list price is $32 Austrailian) the cost to...

Low fuel light circuit   (Archive: TD&Q - by Mickey_Moose, started: 01-18-2007, last post: 2013-03-14 10:12:19 CET)
I was asked in another thread about if this was possible. Here is a simple diagram that will do just that:Use: MC1741 or NTE941 or ECG941 part numbers for the ic. The VR is to adjust when you want the light to come on - note: this is fairly simple circuit and may trigger the LED as the fuel moves...

Interest in Low Fuel 'Idiot" Light???   (Archive: GFC - by cowans, started: 01-01-2003, last post: 2003-05-31 10:17:22 CEST)
To those of you who own a V8, or to others who keep running out of gas, I have found a relatively cheep kit that attaches to the Fiero (GM) fuel sending wire and produce a Red 'Idiot' light warning you of low fuel. The actual 'critical point' is adjustable! I wouldn't think of doing this except...
