Reprime after removing Oil Filter adapter housing on 3800?

I have a ever so slight leak at the oil filter adaptor housing where it meets the block. I want to replace it while I am off of a work a for a few days. Will I Need to reprime the system somehow? Or will I be ok with just pulling the housing and replacing the gasket? I have tried snuggling it...
