V6 Intake Manifold Colors

Are the lower and middle intake manifolds on the V6 motors painted silver at the factory? I am reassembling mine and noticed that they have been painted at some point, but didn't know if they came that way from the factory.

v6 intake vacum?

There is a vacum directly behind my distributor on the intake manifold.. i have a vacum hose that has an elbow and this should go here .. right.? but where does the elbow connect to on the other end.. (v6 engine) ?Thanks for any info.

I have heard that there is an air baffal inside the intake, on the side of the car.I have also heard that by removeing this,it will increase HP.Is this true?

Oil in air intake and filter

i check my air filter on a regular basis and the last few times there has been oil around the air filter and the air filter seems like either wet or like oil has splashed up on it! i only put four quarts of oil in her so i know that it is not to much oil but i don't know why there is oil up there?...
