Water pump

Well, the water pump is seeping thru the " weep hole". I'm not that " swift" at car repairs. My 85GT V-6 has been good to me but am intimidated in replacing the pump. Any info or video's will help. Appreciate you guys as to the help you offer on this site. Thanks. Replies please.

Water Pump replacement

Tried looking up on " How to"..found nothing. Anyone have a STEP BY STEP procedure to replace the water pump on a 85 GT V-6 ??. I am not so swift with mechanics but I figure I'd give it a go. Have the pump with bracket, gaskets, a diagram , sealant and tools. lack the confidence of a pro but...

HELP !!! Trunk doesn't open

My 85 GT now has another problem out of the blue. The key fits in and turns to the right. but I don't get a release sound. Darn, with the engine side vents secured under the trunk lid..HOW DO I GET THE TRUNK DECK LID OPEN???? HAVE THE LOCK BORED OUT ??

Coolant leak

Developed a coolant leak, bottom right side of engine, left of rear tire. Looked up info and diagrams on manual, parts , etc. Cannot for now get underneath the rear. What connects the cooling tube ( return ? ) to the engine..a hose ? coupling ?? I may try to refill with water thru the thermostat...

What to do after a exhaust manifold install

Was a little messy with broken bolts, but finished the job. and put on 50 miles. Should I now go back and torque the bolts again????...also, should this be done on a " cold " engine vs one that has been run but not hot.

What is this wire connection

While several of us " club" guys are helping a fellow buddy pull out a V-6 from a 85 GT, we noticed a metal plate on the inner side of the trunk lid with " the hump". We assume its a heat shield and has a wire attached to it. No one can fiqure out what this wires function is and cannot find any...

Fiero White Paint

The color code for 84-88 white paint is a code 40 WA 8554. Thought I saw something on one of Pennock' sites that in 2015 the same paint is available under a different gm code. . Any info would be appreciated.. Its hard to find a Duplicolor ds gm 338 which was close.

Passenger side rear quarter panel scoop

Found some Mustang ? scoops for rear quarter panels. Question..want to " vent" or open up the passenger side quarter panel with a scoop for more air into engine. Without taking off the panel. can I drill a pilot hole and enlarge the hole for an air intake under the scoop. Need advise before I screw...
