The heat sink on the ICM of my 2002 GTP 3800 SC that i am building for my 84 cracked when removing the bolts holding it to the bracket. Can i use a heat sink from another 3800 NA? Are ICMz interchangeable?

Applicable 3800 oil filter adapters. What to avoid?   (Technical Discussion & Questions - by fisherlr777, started: 11-10-2013, last post: 2020-04-24 19:10:06 CEST)
My donor engine came from a 98 park avenue ultra, the current filter goes down and away from the belt at like a 45 degree angle. I'm half-sure it will interfere with the front engine mount in some way. Somebody here advised that the 3800 Grand prix adapters are perfect, All of them? Should i only...

Attempted my first startup today. Engine tries to fire, disengages the starter, and dies. Runs for less than a second. I did get it to start and run for about 6 seconds once, but then found a pint of Gas on the garage floor ( quick disconnect had popped off the fuel rail). Tested fuel...

Period-appropriate swaps   (Technical Discussion & Questions - by 842m4SE, started: 10-09-2021, last post: 2021-10-19 02:59:42 CEST)
Looking for some ideas/suggestions about what would be some good Fiero swaps from its approximate time period - so no LS4s. 3.4 DOHC and 3800NA, as well as of course the chevy v8s come to mind. What other possible options are there? Not bored with the Duke, but it'll probably end up being swapped...

Yeah, I'm finally getting around to starting my build thread. Wit the completion of my short block closing in, I decided it's time to give PFF a good over-all view of where I'm going with this. Rather than one overwhelming first post, I'll be posting info and pics in easier to handle chunks. The...

Just gauging interest. I've had this nose project on the back burner for a while, but I can move it up if there is a good amount of interest. It's a 512tr kitcar nose that I may be converting into a Fiero replacement. Unlike my Fi355 nose this will probably be a one piece design to simplify the...

Pull your oil filter housing (1) off the engine. Have a look at the orientation of the oil pressure relief valve spring & piston. Once you pull the oil filter housing off, if you see the spring (4) first, it is installed backwards! The spring (4) goes into the timing cover, then the piston (3), &...
