Does anyone know who does the eprom chip reprogramming for the caddy 4.9 and how to contact them. Also has anyone had this done and is it worth having it done performance wise.Thanks Donald

4.9 Swap Throttle Cable End Help Texas

I tried to hook up my throttle cable the the TB of my 4.9 a while back. The cable was to long, so I thought maybe it had come out of the gas peddle arm. Checked today. The peddle end is fine. The 88 4 cyl cable in my coupe is about an inch to long. I am lookin for a sourch for the little round end...

4.9'ers using cav Z24 clutch

I am wondering if the Z24 clutch disk is made of better material? It is the same size as the fiero v6 clutch, so it must either be better material, or the PP must put more pressure on it.Anyone know?

4.9 cat to muffler exhaust pipe

I'm working on the exhaust for my 87 4.9/4t60e (auto). Trying to run 2.5 inch like the stock fiero.I have a Y pipe (like the stock v6 setup), highflow cat, flowmaster 80 series, a bunch of 2.5 mandrel bends.The pipe under the engine, that goes from the muffler to the cat is tricky. How far below...

no ref. volt to the tps on my 4.9

ok not sure why but the tps is showing no reference voltage. ive adjusted it before and it did show it. now i decided it needed to be readjusted and it showed nothing. i thought maybe there was a broken wire so i checked it again at the computer and nothing. i than changed the computer still...

4.9 tach not working properly after swap

OK. So I installed a Cavalier digital dash last year and it worked fine with the 88 2.5 DIS system on the engine. It read lower than actual but that was b/c of the difference b/w 4 and 6 cylinders. I figured with the V8 the tach would read higher than actual...and it does up to about 2k and then...

If you have an 88 GT with 4.9 cadillac, please let me know what you are using for the lower pipe to engine radiator hose. I had a stock 88 V6 part in place but now I need to replace it. The GM stock part (10120079) is no longer available and I can't find a part locally that looks like it will...
