Do I have to remove the decklid springs for clearance for the 4.9 motor? I have a Rodney Dickman strut so it's not a problem if I do.

What can I do to get the maximum performance from my stock 4.9?

My 4.9 already runs good but I would like suggestions to improve its performance without opening it up. Should I get new spark plug wires? AC Delco, Bosch? Which brand of spark plugs are best for this motor? I'm open to all suggestions.

Trying to get my wiring done today. Need help on ALTERNATOR.My Plug has TWO(2) RED wires coming out of it big red wire goes where? Little red wire goes to GREEN plug and then to where?terninal on back of alternator what goes there?NO BROWN WIRE Only on C500 is there a brown wire.

4.9 has 140 amp alternator!... why not use in Fiero?

I noticed that a lot of 4.9 swappers do not use the 140 amp Cadillac alternator..... is there some disadvantage?

4.9 wiring question
