Who offers HUD units?
(Archive: TD&Q - by smartaxel, started: 06-13-2003, last post: 2004-02-23 13:40:18 CET)
I know I've seen these before. Who offers Heads Up Display units? Oliver has the instructions on his site, but who actually sells them? Or, has anyone adapted other vehicle HUDS? and how?

So... Who wants a HUD unit?
(Archive: GFC - by Riceburner98, started: 12-06-2002, last post: 2003-12-29 13:08:18 CET)
Well, with Oliver Scholz's permission, I've finally finished getting some boards made. I have 2 pictures of the board I built last night: It works "on the bench", but my Fiero is 50 miles away and buried in snow at the moment, so I can't install and test it in a car soon. So, I'm...

HUD Installation - Works Great
(Archive: GFC - by Firefighter1, started: 08-24-2003, last post: 2003-12-29 13:07:34 CET)
For those who don't have Riceburners HUD unit, GET ONE! My installation is different than most as I cut into the upper rear of the guage pod and recessed the HUD unit in the pod. Now the wiring to the unit is completely inside the pod and doesn't show. Since the angle for reflecting the speed is...

Hi all,Me and Riceburner have encountered a problem with his HUD unit and 85 year cars.86-88 year cars have a Green/White wire on the C1 connector on the bottom of the dash unit. This is the 2000 pulses per mile output from the internal converter in the dash unit.I connected the YELLOW wire in...

A BIG thanks to Riceburner.Just recieved my HUD in the mail today. When i got home from work i could not wait. I had to take the dash apart to install it.It works great !!. Riceburner has produced a very professional looking product, and he even supplies it with idiot proof instructions and...

HUD recieved and Installed!!!
(Archive: GFC - by fiero go fast, started: 08-03-2003, last post: 2003-11-10 11:27:18 CET)
Well I got Riceburners HUD today. It came complete with instructions and everything needed to get it installed if you weren't soldering it. The instructions are very well written and self explanitory. So far the HUD itself is great. It fits directly behind the gauge pod and doesn't even need to...

Sources for Aftermarket HUD'S?
(Archive: GFC - by GodSend, started: 02-05-2003, last post: 2003-05-31 10:15:57 CEST)
I am extremly interested in putting a heads up display in my 87. I am not sure that I am up for hunting through pick 'n' pulls for grand prix units, and I know the one in the works by a fellow forum member is missing a few perks (understandable). The only one I have found that peeks my interest...

Anyone want Oliver's HUD digital speedo?
(Archive: GFC - by Riceburner98, started: 09-27-2002, last post: 2003-02-04 11:58:16 CET)
Looking to see who's interested in getting one of these. If you don't know what it is, go here: http://home.t-online.de/home/O_Scholz/hud.html to check it out. I've talked with Oliver and as he no longer offers complete units, he agreed to let me build them. He still sells the processor, if...
