IMSA widebody installation - Russ style   (Archive: TD&Q - by Russ544, started: 08-29-2004, archived: 2010-04-21 09:20:22 CEST)
Seems to be some interest in following along as I do this widebody kit, so I keep posting as long as people keep watching I guess. I'll be doing this a bit different than some others have in the past, and perhaps if it comes out well we can even talk Sage into re-doing the molds a bit to save...

My black SE now looks gray. last night i brushed on a few samples of my acrylic primer-surfacer and left it set all night. today i went out and used a 320 and 400 gt. sandpaper on it...

Today I took my seat out because it doesn't slide. (fun job getting the last one on the back right) Anyway, there is a spring that stretches the length of the seat, should there be one on both sides? Here's a picture.Otherwise I don't know why it doesn't slide. The bumper on the car was backed...

Pulling panels to paint or not   (Archive: TD&Q - by inwrx87gt, started: 06-23-2003, archived: 2003-11-10 11:09:51 CET)
I'm going to strip off all the body panels from an 87 GT as part of an auto shop class. We will need to get it painted (stock silver most likely). Is it best to paint all the panels off the car? or shot them on the body? Pros? cons? how about if a color change is made? THanks Mike

Changing color   (Archive: TD&Q - by ChuckLS1, started: 03-09-2005, archived: 2006-02-06 11:45:37 CET)
I am planning on getting my Fiero painted a diffrent color. I went by a paint shop today to get a quote. He quoted me $3500.00-$4000.00. The guy told me he would not strip the old paint off, just sand it down even then paint over it. I thought you would have to get rid of the old paint first. ...

Painting My 87 GT   (Archive: TD&Q - by pring, started: 03-11-2001, archived: 2001-09-24 23:34:26 CEST)
Several months ago I purchaced an 87 Burgandy/grey Auto GT with 125,000 KM (78,000 miles) on it. I drove it for 9 days before it started snowing then hid her under a nice little tarp. Now its about time to put her back out. I wish to paint it myself but the trivial questions seems to be whether...

I'm a noob here although I've owned various fieros over the last 13 years. Let me just say it's really cool that there are lots of Fieroheads out there. Anyway, I'm getting ready to paint my '86 GT a metallic pearl gold just a touch darker than the original color. What do you guys think of...

Finally getting around to painting the 85Gt.   (Archive: TD&Q - by Dodgerunner, started: 08-10-2009, archived: 2011-05-02 10:43:59 CEST)
Well got up the will to start sanding. I'm changing the color to GM Bright White mono with the usual black trim so stripped the car of panels. Also thought I would have to worry less about runs painting the panel off the car. Just need to finish sanding the roof and rear fenders. Then give...
