Oil pump 2.8 to 3.1   (Archive: TD&Q - by mr.Fiero, started: 03-02-2004, last post: 2004-07-10 10:36:38 CEST)
What pump to me to put on the new motor 3.1L? I have compared, it seems they differ on the size a little. It is possible to put the pump from 2.8L or it is necessary from 3.1L.

3.1 stroker kit???   (Archive: TD&Q - by fropuff, started: 04-19-2001, last post: 2001-09-24 23:35:38 CEST)
Hey, while searching eBay, I saw that there's a 2.8 to 3.1L stroker kit. Are these worth it? What performace increase is there? 0-60? 1/4 mile? What in the increase in HP and torque? This is just for the 3.1 stroker kit, no other mods as of yet. Thanks a lot!

Okay...What I bought was a 3.4 out of a '93 Camaro. The manifold has "3.4L MFI" cast into it. The engine number matches the car. So I pop the oil pan off and what to my wondering eyes do I see??? see for yourself...

What to do to use the 3.1   (Archive: TD&Q - by dclink, started: 11-14-2003, last post: 2004-02-23 13:34:31 CET)
Well I couldn't find a decent 3.4 with low miles- but I found a promising 3.1 Lumina Mini van motor. Reported to have about 60,000 miles. It is a '94.Same money-$450 as the 3.4.What do I have to do to change this motor? Starter is OK, right? How about engine mounts? Wiring? Injectors?

Im going to rebuild my 2.8 and have been looking at the stroker kits that are avalible for about $1200. Is it possible to buy a 3.1 crank and pistons separate where I can save some money or should I buy the kit?

Hey everyone!I REALLY know this is for Fiero related...but I am a Fiero guy that happens to be working on a Camaro. Please forgive me and I'll ask this to go to off topic if needed. But there is a reason why I'm asking the Fiero guys instead of anyone else. I've been here for some time and...
