Monsoon Radio Problem

2010 VW New Beetle with stock monsoon radio. Changed the car battery and the radio wouldn't work. Input the radio code per the manual but now you have to input the code everytime you start the car. Dealer says you need to remove the radio and do something; costs $135 !?What the heck ?

Does anyone know if the "universal 5-lug" Konig Monsoon's will fit our Fiero's?They're coming off a 96 Camaro, but as I understand there's two different 5-bolt lug patterns on the Konigs.The Fiero has a 5x100 pattern, correct?

I bought a 2001 Aztek Monsoon radio on ebay.. didnt come with the radio side plug. Picked one up..( not sure if the wire colors are a match to OEM ..)The radio has two plugs.. one is a 24 pin..the other is a 12 pin..are they BOTH used? does anybody have the correct wiring from radio to Fiero ? (...

i know of ones to choose, but they all seem to need the stock cd changer to work. are there any that dont need the remote audio device to make the aux input work?

using VSS on monsoon radio?

if the monsoon does not have the vss signal for the auto voluming speed control *i forget what its called* then disregard this...has anyone ran the vss signal to the headunit(monsoon) for the speed compensated volume?
