Question for any f-body owners out there

So I am in the market for a car but am torn weather i should get a 98 up trans am or a fiero and swap in a 3800 sc or a 4.9. What is faster fbody or swaped fiero? What handles better (dry/wet)? What do you guys think? It will be my daily driver and i wouldnt be building a track car. Thanks a lot.

Grinding into reverse

My 86GT, with 4 speed, has a tendency to make a grinding sound as I shift into reverse. It doesn't do it all the time, but usually does when it's cold. When it does happen, it happens as I shift it into reverse; once it's in reverse it's fine.TIAJohn
