Fuel pressure gauge needed- low profile?   (Archive: TD&Q - by The Funkmaster, started: 12-05-2006, last post: 2007-03-15 11:27:28 CET)
Well, I installed the Trueleo short runner intake, and now I can't use my old fuel pressure gauge as the schrader valve is under the intake. I have about 1/2 to 3/4 inch between the top of the schrader valve and the bottom of the intake... and no, grinding is not an option. Anyone know of any fuel...

Oil coolers/remote oil pump questions   (Archive: TD&Q - by The Funkmaster, started: 06-21-2006, last post: 2007-03-15 11:32:54 CET)
Well, I got to thinking (a dangerous situation) and began to wonder if a oil cooler was a worthwhile investment. I am assuming that by having one, the oil is kept at a lower temperature overall, thereby extending oil life? Am I missing an important feature? Also, I was thinking about remote oil...

Yay, wet floor! Any advice?   (Archive: TD&Q - by The Funkmaster, started: 11-24-2006, last post: 2007-03-15 11:27:49 CET)
Under normal circumstances, the interior does not leak. However, when it pours rain 'monsoon style' for several days, I guess there's so much water that it somehow forces its way in. My problem is that the driver's side (and the driver's side ONLY) gets absolutely soaked over the course of several...

Oil pan threads are not right... suggestions?   (Archive: TD&Q - by The Funkmaster, started: 10-25-2006, last post: 2007-03-15 11:28:43 CET)
Well, the P/O (grr) decided to cram the oil drain bolt into the oil pan without consideration for the fact that there are threads in there and they have something to say about how the bolt threads in.It's crossthreaded enough so it leaks about 2-3 drops a day. I'd like to fix that. Any ideas? I...

Clutch bleeding problems... Am I useless?   (Archive: TD&Q - by The Funkmaster, started: 03-14-2005, last post: 2006-02-06 11:47:12 CET)
86 GT, 2.8, 5 speed getrag.I replaced the slave cylinder, and I have sealed up the master very well. No air is getting in at the front of the system, however it may still be getting in at the slave ...somewhere... I have bled the clutch at least a dozen times now, and it used to be driveable for a...

Standard GT Options - Question   (Archive: TD&Q - by The Funkmaster, started: 07-13-2007, last post: 2009-02-19 10:45:18 CET)
Long story short: Well used '86 GT, rough shape, all kinds of work done on it and pretty much no panel is original. Stupid me, didn't grab the VIN. Any way of telling if it's really a GT? I know it doesn't matter to most if all the GT *stuff* is there but I'm kinda anal about what a car 'was' and...

Clutch hydraulics are the bane of my existence   (Archive: TD&Q - by The Funkmaster, started: 04-02-2005, last post: 2006-02-06 11:47:14 CET)
Here's the info: 86 GT 2.8, 5 speed getrag. Spec st.3 clutch. New slave, new master. No fluid leaking anywhere. Slave is very well insulated from heat. The car will drive fine for about 100 shifts, sometimes more, sometimes less. Then, all of a sudden, and with no explainable reason, the clutch will...

86 v6 5spd...unsurprising clutch hydro problems :p   (Archive: TD&Q - by The Funkmaster, started: 01-17-2006, last post: 2006-08-11 13:09:53 CEST)
Going to start working on it again - history of clutch problems. Loads of fun ... 86GT, getrag5, grinds reverse and totally refuses to go into any gear.I have replaced the clutch line, as well as the master and slave 2x each, and tried different lengths pushrods in the slaves. I have a solid...

Reverse lights not coming on   (Archive: TD&Q - by The Funkmaster, started: 09-10-2007, last post: 2009-02-19 10:44:53 CET)
Neither of the reverse lights come on....... I'm grabbing some bulbs tomorrow but if those don't fix the problem (They've never worked) then is there anything I should look for? Not sure if there is a common wiring issue at all? Thanks!Steve

My clutch is very weird. We have bled it three times now, and every time it has felt different - but worked. Now, the third time, the throw on the pedal is *miniscule*. The pedal goes down with no resistance until about 1/3 of the way from the bottom, when it grabs the t/o brg (presumably) and...
