Have the new water pump installed. What do I use to clean out the coolant system with all the " gunk" ?? Want to flush out the old before adding new coolant. Looks like a lot of gunk, possibly stop leak was added. Heard everything from dish, laundry soap, and or vinegar, What works the best to...

Settle an argument between 2- 85 GT owners of V-6's One took off his cat converter and has no problems, the other says taking the cat converter off affects performance. Whats your opinion.

Tried looking up on " How to"..found nothing. Anyone have a STEP BY STEP procedure to replace the water pump on a 85 GT V-6 ??. I am not so swift with mechanics but I figure I'd give it a go. Have the pump with bracket, gaskets, a diagram , sealant and tools. lack the confidence of a pro but...

At the library..found the book.. "Indy Pace Cars" by the auto editors of consumers guide. Great book, fabulous photos and a great write up and photos of the Fiero 1984 Pace car on pages 174-177. The book mentioned that the modified 4 cyl. engine was also used in the 1985 Oldsmobile Calais pace...

Been laid low with a bad cold. A nephew got a book out of the local library called.." American Dream Cars..60 years of the best concept vehicles", Mitchel J. Frumkin/Phil Hall, Krause Pub. On page 99, it shows a picture of a 1968 " Banshee ll/Fiero. Check it out..amazing !!!
