VDO fuel level gauge problems   (Archive: TD&Q - by Joe 1320, started: 10-11-2010, last post: 2012-01-11 09:57:59 CET)
Ever since changing over the VDO gauges, I have a fuel level gauge problem. My VDO gauge works, but the range is off. With a full tank, the gauge reads half. However, when the tank is almost empty the gauge reads just a hair above empty. What do I need to do in order to get the gauge to show...

3000GT gauge cluster in 86 GT, need fuel level sending unit   (Archive: TD&Q - by Hulki U. My-BFF, started: 10-11-2009, last post: 2011-05-02 10:42:32 CEST)
I am in the middle of a 3000GT dash swap, and I have the cluster wiring completed except for the tach, and the fuel gauge. I know the stock sending unit for the Fiero is 0(empty) - 90(full) ohms. The 3000GT fuel gauge is the opposite, 90-0. Anybody know where I can get a sending unit for my...

This takes a little bit of work but comes out great. This is the link to the product.http://www.egauges.com/vdo_...der=0_90ohms&PN=SN38You have to drill out 1 the upper rivet because the ground wire is to thick to be sandwiched between the original metal mount and the new metal mount. You will not...

Alright.......this is the deal. I have a 97 GM 1-ton van. Fuel gauge is way off, it wraps around the gauge once and goes past full. Service manual says the gauge works with 0 ohms empty 90 ohms full. I have a signal generator that tells me the fuel gauge is operating correcty at this range. Checked...

Ok, 2001 Aztek...I was wondering how the fuel level sensor works on this. Does it simply use the 0-90 ohm range like the Fiero, with 0 being empty and 90 full?Next, I am looking at bypassing the sensor and just connectings the two wires with a resistor to mimic the 90ohms. Does anyone have a...
