Hey guys, I'm looking into buying a turbo for my 2.8L engine. I found one that I can get for cheep, Its a Garrett with a .42 compressor .48 turbine a T3 flange. Im just curious how turbo kits can cost 3000+ , when they say modfied T3 turbo...what exactly does modified mean?? I mean i can see 3000 if buying all name brand ricer stuff but i just cant see in raw materials costing so much...WOuld someone mind listing the parts that are needed to do a turbo...

Does anyone offer a cam for a turbo 2.8? I was told Comp. Cams does, but I sit on hold for 20 minutes and end up hanging up. Their website is gone too.I was using the Crane 2030 w/Comp. Cams 1.6 rockers with good results. Maybe I'll get another one if I can't find an actual turbo profile cam.
