Auto tranny dipstick rust   (Technical Discussion & Questions - by cebix, started: 08-17-2016, last post: 2016-08-18 17:08:13 CEST)
Okay this is probably a stupid question but has anyone dealt with this? In the middle of the dipstick (way above the oil level line) there is rust and it's going serious. What's the best way to deal with this so no chemicals or worse the rust itself won't contaminate the transmission fluid? Thanks.

Spray undercoat to stop rust   (Technical Discussion & Questions - by fierobug, started: 08-05-2016, last post: 2016-08-10 14:48:26 CEST)
Any suggestions what to use to spray undercoat to stop rust and slow it down? I don't want a heavy rubber plastic coating. My father use to use old oil on his cars everywhere - may he rest in peace. Catches alot of dirt though but sure stopped the rust. Would like to spray it if possible.

I have for sale a relatively rust free roller that was originally a Texas car so it is a very solid car with none of the usual rust issues that you will find with most cars up here in the rust belt. The frame rails are solid and has absolutely no rust in the trunk corners. The cradle is also solid...

I am kind of at a point with my 88 GT that I am considering selling it. I bought a house this past year and my job has been very demanding and I have been working a ton of overtime with no end in sight. So it's just been sitting, I'll take it for a quick drive here once every two weeks but really...

Rusted Battery Area fix   (Technical Discussion & Questions - by White84SE, started: 05-15-2016, last post: 2016-05-16 18:01:09 CEST)
Yeah, my battery area is rusted out pretty good. Looking into how to fix such a thing- any suggestions? I'm thinking maybe wire brushing- phosphoric acid etch-polyurethane seal and then a buildup with fiberglass.

I ran across this 88 thinking I would buy it and fix it up but there was just to much to fix up. It is a 5 speed that has had 800.00 in transmission and clutch work done by a transmission repair center and I have the receipts. I shifted through the gears and it is smooth. Shortly after the...

Who wants a RUST FREE 88 frame?   (General Fiero Chat - by Napoleon_Tanerite, started: 02-16-2016, last post: 2016-04-02 17:10:29 CEST)
I'm getting close to finished on stripping down my 88 parts car. Aside from some surface rust on things like the mufflers and such, there is NO RUST on this car at all. I have no use for the frame as my 87 is also totally rust free. With all the Fieros out there dying from cancer, it would be a...
