Energy Suspension Crap or just defective part   (Archive: TD&Q - by Capt Fiero, started: 02-21-2007, last post: 2009-02-19 10:46:08 CET)
So for the last while I have noticed my 4.9 moving around more than it should, it got so bad that under hard acceleration the alternator pully would slam back into the strut tower and throw a nice spark show out the passenger side deck vent. It really sucked. Today I found out why?I can't...

Ajar light coms on when the window is down?????????   (Archive: TD&Q - by Capt Fiero, started: 11-03-2002, last post: 2003-02-04 11:36:37 CET)
Ok this sounds backwards of what really happens to most older used and abused Fiero's.But I did test this about 20 times before i belived it myself. When I roll my power window down to the bottom the door ajar light begins to flicker on. If I roll it up just a touch it goes off. Really strang. ...

I am going to lose my mind. I have bled it and re-bled it. I have used a power bleeder thanks to John (aka Watts)I have never had a problem bleeding a clutch I have bled my own clutch dozens of times after changing tranny's or clutches or slaves. I am only getting about 7/8ths of an inch travel...

One thing leads to another   (Archive: TD&Q - by Capt Fiero, started: 10-27-2002, last post: 2003-02-04 11:36:51 CET)
LOL, this is going to be a kind of funny post. I got my first day off since "Thanksgiving" (in Canada it is Oct 14th) So I decided to go out to my car and do some stuff I had been planning to do. One of which was properly install my new "R" Racing seat covers. So I was going to pull out the...

Well all be damned a fuel filter slowed me down.   (Archive: TD&Q - by Capt Fiero, started: 01-28-2006, last post: 2006-08-11 13:10:05 CEST)
Ok So I have had my V8 Fiero for going on 7 months now. I have been constantly changing things. Different exhaust, Tuning, intake, you name it. Recently I had to do the air scare thing, so I put in the tiny 2" exhaust with a cat and I noticed it was a bit slower. I then poured in the normal 1...

Head Bolt thread sealant?   (Archive: TD&Q - by Capt Fiero, started: 03-27-2007, last post: 2009-02-19 10:45:56 CET)
Just a quick question. What can be used as the head bolt sealant. I have the heads in place and went to reach for my tube of head bolt specific sealant and don't have any on the shelf, I don't want to run all the way to the parts store for a stupid bottle of goop. So I decided to take a break...

3.32 4spd how do I identify it from a 4.10   (Archive: TD&Q - by Capt Fiero, started: 08-09-2006, last post: 2007-03-15 11:30:49 CET)
With the whole nightmare with this FWD Getrag I have the option of taking an 84 4spd trans. (I know it is an 84 due to the smooth case) Which means it is one of 2 trannys. A 3.32 or a 4.10. The 3.32 gear set transplanted into an 85-86.5 case would be nearly indestructible. Anyone know any way...

Can the cradle swing down with a V8   (Archive: TD&Q - by Capt Fiero, started: 08-06-2005, last post: 2006-02-06 11:45:08 CET)
When doing work on a V6 it is always pretty easy to just swing the cradle down and do stuff like tranny or clutch work. Meaning leve the front bolts in and just lower the rear down. Can the same be done with a V8 in the car.I need to drop the cradle down to do a Re and Re on my Clutch. Just...
