Fiero Coupe vs. Sport Coupe?

I recently purchased a very plain '87 Fiero notchback. When checking the vin. against a list of models it is shown as a "Sport Coupe", code "M". Can anyone tell me the exact differences that make this car a "Sport Coupe" It is a very plain car. 4 cylinder, auto, no power anything.Thanks,Kirk
