Headlight motor question.
(by Cobra_Ranch_Garage, started: 03-24-2023, last post: 2023-03-26 06:09:52 CEST)
My drivers headlight motor started to "click" when the lights are off and it is fully closed. It eventually runs the battery down. Now that side will come up a little then stop. Then a little more, then stop, until it's finally fully open. Is this commonly in the switch area of the motor or the...

Gen1 Headlight Motor Shorting Out after rebuild.???
(by Dennis LaGrua, started: 04-10-2020, last post: 2020-04-21 15:18:36 CEST)
Had a non-functioning Gen1 headlight motor on my 85GT. The motor ran but would stop before the headlight raised all the way up. Purchased the Fiero Store rebuilding kit and took the motor apart. The problem was the inserts in the gear had deteriorated. The limit switch contacts and brushes were...

A few years ago I gave away some of my (Un-needed) Fiero stuff to a couple of Fiero guys...One Be-rated me for not having switched my Generation 1 headlight motor system to the gen 2 system- I stated, "I've really never had much trouble with them- One stripped a gear and I got Rodney's gear/Bumper...

Gen2 headlight motor passenger side needs a bit of a manual turn to go up
(by Matthew_Fiero, started: 07-23-2015, last post: 2017-06-08 09:05:28 CEST)
Hello,I have an 85 GT with the Gen2 motors. I have a passenger side headlight that wont go up unless I give the manual knob a helping hand (about half a turn). It fells like as if the headlight is in a tough spot unless I help it out. I have searched the archives for about 30 minutes with no...

Right headlight motor runs constantly...
(by CSM842M4, started: 04-25-2016, last post: 2018-09-08 15:53:52 CEST)
After plugging in the headlight raise/lower relay connector a few weeks ago and having them work fine until a couple of days ago, I think we've discovered why the connector was unplugged in the first place. The right motor now keeps trying to lower the headlight, even after it's all the way down....

Headlight motor harness. Is 84 the same as 85 and 86?
(by Raydar, started: 01-18-2015, last post: 2015-01-19 05:27:45 CET)
As the title says...I know that the 84 wiring is supposed to be different, just about everywhere. Does that include the headlight motor harness? Can an 85-86 (or ultimately, an 87-88) harness be plugged in to the firewall connector?Has anybody done this? Thanks
