Stupid clutch won't disengage, now what?   (Archive: TD&Q - by 88formula, started: 07-21-2001, last post: 2002-02-08 14:45:53 CET)
Got my motor running and everything else on the car works great. The only problem is that the clutch won't fully disengage. I can't figure this one out. I've replaced the master and slave cylinder and went through about two quarts bleeding this crappy clutch. Gravity bleeding seems to be the only...

Clutch chatter when disengaged   (Archive: TD&Q - by Black88GT, started: 07-10-2001, last post: 2002-02-08 14:45:32 CET)
Just when ya thought the clutch questions were over.If I am sitting at idle, it chatters, but when I engage it, its quiet. What causes this? I looked in my manuals and it said clutch release bearing or input gear bearing. Which do you guys think? Any way to test for sure?thanks

The clutch is not disengaging, and the clutch pedal is very stiff. I checked th slave cylinder and it seems to be working fine. The clutch...

After replacing the old clutch, pressure plate and throwout bearing on my 88 GT, the clutch do not fully disengage when pressing the pedal to the floor. A longer slave cylinder push-rod has been fitted (without putting pressure on the clutch in engaged position). The throw-out distance at the slave...

Clutch not disengaging   (Archive: TD&Q - by JohnnyK, started: 04-09-2000, last post: 2000-10-19 11:26:39 CEST)
I have an 85se 4cyl 5spd with a very annoying clutch.. It will not engage into first while moving, or sometimes into second, but the main problem is I really have to push against the footrests to shift... First I am going to bleed the clutch to see if that is the problem, but I read somewhere that...
