I finally made my winaldl cable, but no info is being sent to the computer. Do I need to use the R3 resistor? I've got an 85 2.5 with an auto.Can I use the ecm from an 84 2.5 with a manual?Thanks!!

Thermostat Bottom Line - Failsafe or Not?

My car is an 84 SE, 2.5L.It appears my thermostat is not working, the car usually indicating a temp below the first tic on the temp gauge, and never really moving.I did a parts search on AZ's site and I see several types of stats ... 195 degree, 180, 160, and 180 & 195 degree stats with a failsafe...

Jumpy Timing Issue

I've tried to use the search with nothing that I can find that just doesn't quite hit it.86GT with auto. The car will start and run, barely. W/ a timing light, every fire is in a different degree. Varies about 6 deg each way. It's all over the place. You can put load on it, it varies a little...

Off idle hesitation problem...

I was just curious if anyone has experienced a hesitation problem when trying to accelerate from a stop?The car does not hunt at idle and at above 2000RPM it is nice and smooth but getting from 1000RPM to 2000RPM is somewhat of a chore... if I just floor it, it will sink to 500RPM and possibly die...

Car still running rough

I think it;s some sensor but the engine when in 4th or 5th gear below 2000 rpm runs like it isn't getting enough fuel. The exhaust smells very rich though and there is alot of carbon deposits on the spark plugs. Please Help
