stiffer 4.9 valve springs

Has anyone actually installed stiffer valve springs in the 4.5/4.9?I saw fastjeff used the hi-po 2.8 V6 springs, but has anything else been tried?How much work was it to get those springs in jeff?

Lifters for 4.9...

I used the search feature and found no answer.I recall reading on 4.9 rebuilds that LS1 lifters could be used to make the 4.9 safer to rev past 4500 rpm. Is this so? Are they drop-in replacements?Thanks,Lou

What do you pay for a 4.9?

A friend of mine is selling a 4.9, attached to a 97 Cadillac, with 50,000 miles. The car is in perfect condition, serviced whenever there was a minor ping, and garaged its entire life. The asking price is around $3800. Is that about right?

4.9 Throttle sensor codes.
