(Technical Discussion & Questions - by 87convert, started: 07-11-2017, last post: 2017-07-13 07:26:34 CEST)
I have two interference's regarding the install of my Allante intake. First, as shown in the picture below, the TPS sensor attach fasteners are riding hard against the trunk wall. Second, the throttle spacer/heater rides hard against the rear rocker cover. Has anyone else has these issues? I...

Can anyone please check this picture and tell me what parts are missing? I've never taken apart an intake manifold and I'm not sure what parts have been removed. I guess I need to know what I would need to put it back together. Thanks...

Okay, so this is kinda crappy since I dont have pictures of this part. BUT...On the stock 2.8 motor, there is a metal tube along the firewall that runs from the bottom of the air box to the back of the motor somewhere. Now, its been a long time since I've had this motor combo, so I cant quite...

I understand that a 3.4 lower intake manifold can be used on our 2.8. However, it won't have provisions for an iac inlet, cs injector, and both the csi switch and fan switch. I've converted over to the 7730, so the csi, fan switch and csi switch are not needed, but the iac inlet could be a...

The rtv between the block and the lower intake has been leaking oil and has recently gotten worse. I'm wondering if anyone has tried sealing this even just temporarily without removing everything and redoing it. I was thinking of trying to clean and remove as much old rtv from outside and laying...

The heater hose connection to the intake is made to a formed pipe which is inserted into a hole in the rear of the intake. The pipe on my intake has come loose. There does not appear to be anything mechanically holding the pipe in place. I don't think that pushing the pipe back into the hole...
