High Flow OEM Style Intake
(Technical Discussion & Questions - by HitesFiero, started: 09-14-2012, last post: 2014-11-26 06:36:55 CET)
I’ve spent a considerable amount of time designing and redesigning this intake with three basic goals:1. Increase the usable power bands drop off from 4500 RPM to 6000 RPM.2. Maintain the OEM look and keep the “Fiero’ness” intact.3. Make swapping old with new direct and easy as possible....

3.4L intake question
(Technical Discussion & Questions - by retroman, started: 10-27-2013, last post: 2013-11-03 03:46:05 CET)
Some of you may know that I've been working on a 3.4 swap for awhile. I am going DIS and using most of the F-body components. Something that I have found with the 3.4 upper intake is that it interferes with the 2.8 thermostat housing. I fixed that by switching to the 3.4 housing, but even then I...

Lower intake question
(Technical Discussion & Questions - by Lilchief, started: 11-08-2013, last post: 2013-11-12 19:18:07 CET)
I'm curious about the tube that runs from the upper intake neck to the lower intake. How does it tie into the runners, just one or all of them ? The reason I'm asking is I have a trueleo intake and had it plugged, well the plug rotted and created a big leak but it ran alot better at WOT. Almost...

Just wondering if anyone has one of these SD4 intakes on the shelf?Could you tape off the ports on the head side, and fill the thing with water to the carburetor base to measure total volume in liters? Thanks in advance.

Upper intake bolt size 2.8
(Technical Discussion & Questions - by Jace, started: 01-31-2021, last post: 2021-02-05 18:41:57 CET)
Broke both bolts connecting the throttle cable bracket to the upper intake and don't want to buy a whole new intake bolt set. Was wondering what the exact length and thread size is so I can just buy two bolts up at the hardware store.

TPI L98 intake tube?
(Technical Discussion & Questions - by grkboy707, started: 12-12-2015, last post: 2015-12-26 20:11:33 CET)
Finishing up my L98 swap and I'm not sure where to go with the intake tube. I need one with a 90 bend. Pulled one out of a Firebird with an LT1 and the MAF sensor side was too large. What has everyone done to fix this? LT1 also has a gaping hole for a huge baffle at the bottom

Lower Intake Manifold & Engine Mount
(Technical Discussion & Questions - by bortolini, started: 04-26-2016, last post: 2016-04-26 23:27:57 CEST)
I am having an issue with removing the lower intake manifold since the engine mount is in the way. I removed the dog bone and front mount, and 3 bolts that hold it into place but it isn't budging. I am using the image that can be found at the following link to figure out what else needs to be...

Just how incompatible are aluminum 3x00 heads and the fiero intake?
(Technical Discussion & Questions - by Travis D, started: 08-15-2017, last post: 2017-08-17 18:50:57 CEST)
Two questions:How incompatible are those heads with the fiero intake manifold? Are we talking some bolts holes need adjusting, or is it "Really definitely not happening at all"?Which is more restrictive, the fiero intake manifold, or the iron heads? If the intake is capable of supplying enough air...

Trying to remove lower intake
(Technical Discussion & Questions - by Frank-ero, started: 09-28-2019, last post: 2019-09-29 20:50:35 CEST)
I am 1 frekin nut away from getting this lower intake off so I can replace the gasket and fix this. BUT of the 4 rods that go though the intake the bottom right one (closest to back right of car) has a nut on it that is partly covered by a LARGE BLACK BRACKET. Is there any way to get this nut off...
